Absolutely not, and you won’t have to worry if your neighbor takes care of theirs either. You’ll have much more space in your garage when you move to Linkside because you won’t need the lawnmower, weed eater, fertilizer spreader, bush trimmer, snow blower, shovel or ladder. We will take care of landscape, lawn care, and snow removal for you.
Does Linkside have its own clubhouse?
Yes, residents of Linkside at Old Hawthorne benefit from having their own clubhouse in addition to the Old Hawthorne clubhouse. The Linkside clubhouse is owned by the residents, and open every day for the use and enjoyment of Linkside homeowners and their guests. How much are the homes in Linkside?
Our villa and veranda homes are competitively priced, both within Old Hawthorne and Columbia. Yet, Linkside is the only active 55+ community within mid-Missouri and offers unbeatable amenities. There will only be 72 homes upon completion, and we expect to sell out within the next two years. Phase 1 villa homes, starting at $269,900. Phase 2 pricing has not yet been set. Talk with a community specialist to discuss options for selecting a lot, floor plan, and finishes, to get specifics on pricing.

CommunityDo I have to be retired to live here?
No. The age of people moving to active adult communities is getting younger each year. Why? Because they no longer need a large home or property to care for and want to enjoy the amenities that communities like this offer before they are old. Many people move to be closer to their family, closer to a fun place to live, or want a place they can lock and leave when they travel.
Do I have to be 55 to live at Linkside at Old Hawthorne?
One resident of each home in Linkside must be 55 or greater. All permanent residents must be 19 or older. In addition, the community has covenants to maintain a well manicured neighborhood as well as property values.
Are children welcome at Linkside? Can my grandchildren visit?
Yes and yes. In fact, there are many activities offered through the Club at Old Hawthorne that your grandchildren will enjoy. Your family and friends will love to visit Linkside at Old Hawthorne and will probably wish they qualified to live here too.
Can I purchase a lot?
You may choose a lot for our developer to build one of our three award-winning Veranda plans and select your custom finishes. Or, you may choose one of our three Villa floor plans, and select the location and finishes.
Are there any golf course view lots?
All homes are within walking distance of the Club at Old Hawthorne, the Golf Practice Facility and Golf Course, the Fitness Center and Pool. Five lots are adjacent to the golf course and look over the 18th hole.

How far is Linkside from shopping, restaurants and hospitals?
Old Hawthorne is just minutes from I-70 and Hwy. 63, and close to grocery stores, major retailers and lots of restaurants. Columbia is known for its arts, entertainment, sporting events, trails/parks and cuisine. It's also known for excellent health care. Hospitals include University of Missouri Hospital, Boone Hospital Center, Truman VA Hospital, Ellis Fishel Cancer Center, as well as many clinics and care facilities, all located within 5 to 10 minutes from Old Hawthorne.

Directions: From I-70, take the #131 Lake of the Woods Exit. Turn South on St. Charles Road then left on Grace Lane. Stay on Grace Lane which becomes Rolling Hills Road for 2 miles. Turn left (East) onto Hwy WW. Turn left at 2nd entrance to Old Hawthorne. [3 miles or 7 minutes] From Hwy. 63 at the Broadway/Hwy WW Exit, go East on Hwy WW for 3 miles to Old Hawthorne. [3 miles or 5 minutes] From Hwy 63 at the AC/New Haven/Nifong Exit, travel 2 miles East on New Haven Road. Turn left (North) and travel 1 mile on Rolling Hills Road. Turn right (East) onto Hwy.
